The Journal has no specific requirements for article length, but prefers articles shorter than 100 pages. The Journal will only consider articles relating to international or compartive law and prefers articles regarding timely and novel issues.
The Journal makes offers for publications in rounds. We anticipate at least three rounds of article selection in 2026. In each round, about fifteen articles are chosen for consideration and sent to the Article Editors and Journal members for evaluation. Each round takes about a week. Upon receiving article evaluations from the Article Editors and Journal members, the Senior Articles Editor consults the Board in deciding whether to make an offer.
Articles selected for publication will go through our editing process and will be published in one of three issues during the upcoming academic year. Authors who accept offers early in the selection process may request that the Journal publish their article in the first issue of the academic year.
